Exertis signs distribution deal with Honeywell

It will sell US multinational conglomerate’s smart heating and security system products

Exertis has signed a distribution deal with commercial and consumer product manufacturer Honeywell to sell its range of smart home products.

These include the company’s smart heating controls and portfolio of security systems (wireless alarms, IP cameras, door entry solutions).

Exertis claimed it has established a “dominant” position in smart tech distribution, opening up new channels and routes to market.

‘Trusted brand’

Head of smart tech and IoT Rod Slater said: “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers a choice of market leading, innovative smart tech products from a trusted brand that will be of interest to any homeowner, irrespective of the size and type of property, or a small commercial business.

“Honeywell has developed wireless connected products that make full use of today’s technology to deliver complete control of comfort, security and energy use through whole home and multi zoned heating systems that can be combined with peace of mind, security solutions.”

The US-based company’s range of control products include: a multi-zoning temperature control system; programmable thermostats with touchscreen technology; as well as connected standalone security and safety systems from intruder  alert monitoring, via IP cameras, to smoke alarms.

Expanding reach

Honeywell UK and Ireland sales director Nick Hunt said: “Our products are sold in a wide range of markets and working with Exertis will enable us to reach out to trading partners that we haven’t traditionally talked to.

“Our aim is to concentrate on providing energy efficient, technologically advanced, connected solutions for homes and businesses across the UK and we believe that by working with Exertis, a clear leader in smart tech distribution, we have found the perfect partner to increase the penetration of Honeywell products.”
