Two divisions – ‘volume’ and ‘value added distributor’ – have been created in response to sales becoming “more technical”
Exertis Micro-P has unveiled a new business structure, which separates resellers into two groups: ‘volume’ and ‘value added distributor’.
The volume division will be headed by Exertis Micro-P director Phil Brown. VAD will be headed by Grahame Smee, the managing director of Cohort Technology – which was acquired by Exertis Micro-P in October 2013.
The VAD division is made up of four focus areas: unified communications (UC), security, specialist software and services.
Exertis Micro-P said its decision to re-organise has been driven by sales becoming more technical.
UK managing director Paul Bryan said: “We are looking to add more value to what we already offer. We have three sales channels in Retail, B2B and Telco, and we’re promoting services, services, services, all the way through.
“Grahame’s team has allowed us to change gear in the B2B VAD channel and we’re already seeing some fantastic wins with both vendors and customers.”
