Leo Hassett starts immediately and is tasked with ensuring Exertis’ supply chain runs “efficiently and effectively”

Exertis has announced the appointment of Leo Hassett as sales director of Exertis Supply Chain Services (ESCS).

Hassett has previously worked as Eircom head of mobile business development, as well as commercial director for building firm Rockwool, and will step in to his new role immediately.

ESCS works across Exertis’ supply chain helping businesses to find efficiencies through a range of services, including sourcing components and finished goods, managing multiple suppliers for factory delivery, kitting and product assembly.

It also helps firms to improve third part visibility and management, global logistics and helps with cash flow solutions for local billing services.

Exertis UK and Ireland group managing director Gerry O’Keeffe said: “Leo’s skills and enthusiasm for ensuring that the supply chain runs efficiently and effectively, means our partners and resellers will soon benefit from an even more thorough and responsive service.”

Hassett will be tasked with working alongside supply chain managers to deliver certainty and efficiencies into their chains. He will also work with channel managers to get products to their distribution points faster.

“This is a tremendous time to join Exertis as it sets the scene for its future. To play a part in determining that future is an opportunity I could not resist. I look forward to working with our exciting partner brands,” Hassett said.
