Linkit will deal in landline, broadband, mobile device management and workforce solutions and VOIP

Ex-EE store manager Ben Markham has set up his own company, Linkit Communications, in Leamington Spa.

He left Daventry dealer Global Mobile Communications after five years in May, departing as business development manager.

Markham started in the industry eight years ago as an EE branch assistant manager before becoming store manager.

“Leamington has no dealership and is fast redeveloping to be a hub of new technology and gaming businesses, which we will look to connect,” said Markham.

“There are big traditional games developers such as Codemasters and emerging mobile app makers starting up. Outside of London, Leamington Spa has the highest concentration of gaming companies.”

Linkit will deal in landline, broadband, mobile device management and workforce solutions, as well as VoIP supplied through Digital Wholesale Solutions. Connections will be offered to EE, O2 and Vodafone.

Markham is looking to differentiate his dealership through deeper social media engagement. He intends to create device-unboxing videos and produce interviews with leading figures in telecoms.

“We’re going to engage with social media like no dealer has done before,” he said.

“We have access to a studio, as well as distributors and vendors to help us do unboxing and review videos for our website. We’re aiming to be an exciting brand that everyone will want to be part of.”
