Austrian-based Emporia Telecom launched in the UK earlier this year
Emporia Telecom has bolstered its team with the appointment of former Doro employee Jacqui MacKinnon as sensory sales consultant.
At Doro she was care sales consultant responsible for selling into and managing the sensory loss channels for mobile and fixed line products.
She will manage the UK and Ireland specialist retail channel relationships for the company.
At Doro she worked with with Emporia’s current UK MD Chris Millington.
MacKinnon said: “There is a huge appetite in the sector for a brand that develops products solely for the senior market.”
Emporia Telecom began specialising in mobile communications for older people in 2001.
It operates in 30 countries and claims to be the top brand in the senior citizens mark. Its UK distributor is Eurostar Global Electronics.
