Customers will be able to access 24/7 priority access to Apple experts via chat or phone, plus more
EE has strengthened its relationship with vendor Apple, with the operator now including AppleCare services on top of its iPhone insurance add-ons.
It means that AppleCare services are now available for new and upgrading customers taking out Full Cover or Damage Cover mobile insurance plans with the operator.
In the process EE is the first UK mobile network operator to include AppleCare services for the duration of the customer insurance cover.
Customers are eligible to use the AppleCare services for as long as their insurance policy lasts, with its Damage Cover add-on available from £5.99 per month and Full Cover from £9.49.
And selected EE stores will provide Apple’s repair services, along with Apple stores and authorised Apple service providers.
It follows the ramping up of EE’s own in-store repair service, where customers can take their smartphones to 85 of its nationwide stores.
BT Consumer director of propositions Sharon Meadows said: “This is the next step in the evolution of our relationship with Apple, following on from our Full Works Plan for iPhone last year.
“Today’s announcement demonstrates our ongoing collaboration with Apple to offer our customers the best of Apple’s services and devices.”
