EE has extended its ‘Stay Connected’ service, with the launch of new 5G-ready smart and essential plans for connected devices.
It means that EE customers that purchase a tablet, laptop, 4G or 5G mobile WiFi devices or a data SIM will be eligible to take advantage of the Stay Connected service, with smart plan customers able to choose Netflix as their smart benefit add on.
This service is available to both new and existing EE customers and is also available to customers with pay monthly data SIMs.
Customers that choose Netflix as a smart benefit on EE’s smart plan can access the service from £5.99 per month.
EE’s introduction of a new range of essential and smart data plans for tablets, laptops and data SIMs includes the option of unlimited data for the first time.
Data packages
From tomorrow (August 20), the operator is also launching a new range of data packages with inclusive 4GEE and 5GEE WiFi devices.
Unlimited data and a 4GEE WiFi will be available from Friday for £36 (£40pm for non EE customers), and unlimited data and a 5GEE WiFi for £45 (£50pm for non EE customers) on a 24 month plan. 30 day options are also available.
Commenting on the new plans EE director of propositions Sharon Meadows said: “We’re always looking for ways to offer our customers great 4G and 5G plans for all their connected devices – whether that’s laptops, tablets, watches or mobile WiFi.
“As part of this – we’re introducing a new range of even bigger data plans and extending our Stay Connected service and Netflix Smart benefit to as many customers as possible – so customers can get a best in class experience whether that’s getting online for work or entertainment.”
Fitness plan
EE has also unveiled a new fitness plan for its customers that buy the Apple Watch on EE. This includes 24 months access to Apple Fitness+.
This service allows users to gain access to studio-style workouts to their iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
Available with this new plan is Apple Watch Series 6, which is available on an EE Fitness Watch plan from £35 a month, and Apple Watch SE, which is available from £27 a month – both with unlimited data.
