Birmingham’s Brindley Place, Manchester’s Albert Square, and London’s Piccadilly Circus part of 5G expansion

EE’s 5G network will expand to popular landmarks across the UK. London’s busiest train stations, including London Waterloo, Liverpool Street station and Charing Cross are among those set to receive 5G coverage from the network. EE has the most expansive 5G coverage and will now cover more than 20 towns and cities across the UK.

EE switched on the UK’s first 5G network in May 2019 and aims to deliver 5G in seven more cities including Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull, Sheffield and Nottingham.

BT’s CEO of consumer division Marc Allera said: “Switching on 5G in more busy places will help to keep our customers connected to the things that matter to them the most. Our engineers are building new 5G sites every day, and increasing capacity on 4G sites – all part of our ambition to keep all of our customers connected 100% of the time.”
