The refreshed scheme replaces a previous one introduced by the operator just over a year ago

EE has updated its ‘Add to Plan’ scheme allowing customers to spread the cost of a Fitbit, Samsung, Beats, B & O or Skull Candy accessory interest free over the course of 11 months.

The refreshed plan is available to any new customer who takes out a two-year handset contract. Products include the Samsung Gear VR headset and various Fitbit wearables, with prices starting from just £8 per month.

Headphones from Beats, B & O and Skull Candy will be available on ‘Add to Plan’ from September 16. Prices for the Skull Candy Uproar Wireless headphones start from £3 per month, for example.

EE director of devices Sharon Meadows said: “In recent years, we’ve seen a growing trend in customers wanting to match their smartphone with the latest tech kit, with demand for wireless headphones and earphones become especially prevalent.

“To meet this need, we’re refreshing our Add to Plan offering, making it even simpler and more accessible for customers to choose from a great range of accessories that help meet their lifestyle tech needs.”

The updated plan replaces the previous one introduced over a year ago. New and existing customers would get a free accessory upon taking out an additional 18 month data plan alongside their existing 24 month contract.
