Carphone launches pre-orders for the iPhone 5

Price-plans available with all networks with the 16GB device free on selected plans from £45 a month

Carphone Warehouse has opened its iPhone 5 pre-orders and is beginning to advertise its tariff options.

The retailer will sell the device on price-plans with all networks, with its cheapest deal for the 16GB version priced at £45 per month with a free phone on Three.

Since it started selling the iPhone in 2007, the retailer estimates it has sold 1.6 million Apple handsets up to the release of the latest device.
