BT launches range of full fibre plans for small UK businesses

Plans are available for 150Mbps, 300Mbps, 500Mbps and 900Mbps

BT has launched a range of full fibre packages aimed at catering to the UK’s smallest firms and start-ups

The plans start from £25.95 per month and provide speeds of up to 150Mbps, which is double the speed of the standard Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) connection.

BT’s full fibre business essential packages are available from today (October 13), with offers for a limited time until November 7.

These plans have been designed for sole traders and companies with up to 10 employees, with firms able to choose from 150Mbps, 300Mbps, 500Mbps and 900Mbps plans.

The introduction of these plans comes in the wake of new research from Small Business Britain and BT, which found 65 per cent of small businesses said that their need for a reliable broadband connection increased over the last year.

An additional 74 per cent of small firms have relied on a relied on their digital presence to survive the pandemic, according to the research, as more than half (53 per cent) had to deal with income reduction due to the pandemic.

BT managing director for SoHo (Single office/Home office) unit Chris Sims said: “Many of the country’s smallest business owners are also feeling financially squeezed by the lasting effects of the pandemic, so we’ve come up with our best value full fibre packages yet.

“The new packages offer the UK’s smallest firms a reliable broadband connection with guaranteed signal wherever they’re running their business from, all at an affordable price.”
