Businesses of all sizes can apply for the scheme up until late October
Barclay Communications has pledged to give away £250,000 worth of comms packages to help Northern Irish businesses hurt by the pandemic.
The Belfast-based dealer has launched the ‘Barclay Backing Business Grant’ to support businesses in the region that have suffered a decline in business due to the pandemic.
The grant will provide free telecoms solutions for 12 months for successful applicants, while there is no purchase necessary once the period ends, or any obligation to sign a contract with Barclay Communications.
This scheme will include fixed business lines, broadband and VoIP services and is available for applicants to apply for until October 29 2021.
Barclay Comms scheme is open to businesses of all different sizes, with applicants needing to answer three different questions around how the pandemic has hurt business.
These questions are – how the Covid-19 pandemic impacted your business; your communication spend in 2019/20 during the pandemic; and how would free telecoms services for 12 months benefit your business?

Despite the pandemic last year, Barclay Group reported its most successful year, posting turnover in excess of £24m, with this figure up £8m (33pc) from 2019.
And the company has since announced an investment of £1.8m in new systems and new people to deal with the increased demand.
Speaking about the grant scheme, Barclay Communications founder and managing director Britt Megahey said: “We have been very privileged over the past year to have experienced our most successful period ever in our 25-year history but we are aware that many other businesses experienced the opposite.
“We recognise that those businesses, especially when furlough ends, and bounce-back loans have to be repaid, will need every penny they have to thrive and invest in their business wisely. To help some of those in that challenging position we are offering to support their communication needs as they reconnect and resume business.”
