The top three iPhones accounted for 41 per cent of Apple’s total sales
Apple secured seven of the top 10 spots for the most sold smartphones sold during 2021, according to figures from Counterpoint Research’s handset model sales tracker.
It represents Apple’s best performance in the standings, with Xiaomi with two and Samsung with one smartphone completing the top 10.
With over 4,200 active smartphones in the global market last year, the top five smartphones were all Apple models, with the iPhone 12 the best-selling model.
It was followed by the iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 11.
Meanwhile Samsung’s Galaxy entry-level A12 smartphone came in sixth spot, followed by Xiaomi’s Redmi 9A, iPhone SE 2020, iPhone 13 Pro Max and the Xiaomi Redmi 9.
