New ‘MODE’ smartphone case range designed for “fashion conscious” males

Accessories manufacturer and distributor Aegis Vision has launched a new range of smartphone cases aimed at fashion-conscious men.

The MODE collection will form part of the company’s Uunique London offering, which features accessories inspired by prints and materials seen on the catwalk.

It consists of iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPad Mini cases, with prices starting at £29. The spring/summer range went on sale in June, and will be followed by an autumn/winter collection later this year.

The cases are made from mahogany and durable fabrics. All of the cases fold into a stand and close using magnets.

Aegis head of brand and marketing Christina Neizer said: “We are very pleased to launch our new male-focused range. It has had a very positive response from our customer focus group already. The range is well positioned and priced and we foresee this new direction to be important for the Uunique brand.”

The company added it has seen a “sharp rise” in orders for bespoke luxury cases following the launch of the world’s most expensive iPhone case, the Uunique Lotus, which retails at £189,000.

A spokesperson said orders are typically made by customers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, China and the US.
