Devices available from end of October onwards
Chinese vendor realme has announced the launch of three new smartphones which will all be released in the UK within the next few weeks. realme announced that the X2 Pro and 5Pro will be released in the UK at the same time as in Asia and they aim to be a success in Europe, having already garnered 17 million customers worldwide.
The realme X2 Pro 64MP Quad camera with a 20X hybrid zoom with a 115º wide-angle, a telephoto lens and a portrait lens and realme hope it will become one of the most competitive flagships in the market. The phone will use the latest Snapdragon 855+ processor and will fully charge in 35 minutes with the 50W superVOOC charger. The flagship will be priced from €399.
The X2 also features a 64MP Quad camera with an ultra-wide lens and will use the Snapdragon 730 processor. It will be priced from €299.
The 5Pro features a 48MP Quad camera and is powered by a 712 Snapdragon processor. It is available in either blue or green and will retail from €199.
realme Director Levi Lee told Mobile News: “I think our phone stands out at this price point compared to it’s competitors.
“If you talk about the general performance of other mid-range phones on the market, I think our phone stands out. It is very difficult to find a similar performing phone at this price.”
Lee added that realme will use their base in Spain to expand the company rapidly throughout Europe.
“We care a lot about the European market and are very ambitious in our plans to expand. Gradually we will expand to more and more countries and I can tell you that it will be very fast.”
The realme X2 Pro will be available in early November. The 5 Pro will be available from October 18 and the X2 from October 29 from realme’s website, Amazon, eBay, and Ali Express.
