SilverLabel brand a welcome addition, says UK’s largest action sports retailer

Bluechipworld has signed a deal with action sports distributor Madison for supply of its new action cameras to retailers in the UK and Ireland.

The accessories manufacturer, based in Cannock, is making its debut in this market segment with three products.

The Focus 1 has a VGA camera, Focus 2 a HD camera and Focus 360 a full 360-degree camera. All are waterproof up to 30 metres, have removable batteries and take 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB microSD cards.

These three new action cameras fall under Bluechipworld’s premium SilverLabel brand, which also includes products such as Bluetooth speakers, headphones, fitness bands and smartphone cradles.

Utilising sales

Bluechipworld CEO Simon Hassell said: “Madison has a huge base of activity, cycling, fishing and sports shops, as well as a huge base of camera shops.

“They will utilise their sales resources to go to the major retailers, such as Tesco and Dixons, working in partnership with them. They will do the best job in distribution in getting our products out there.”

Milton Keynes-based Madison specialises in the distribution of bicycle accessories but also supplies action sports-related products, such as GPS units, smartphone cases, power banks, headphones and speakers.

It had distributed action cameras from GoPro for five years but that partnership ended last December.

Maximising potential

Madison brand director Adrian Phillips said: “The SilverLabel action camera brand is a welcome addition and perfect fit into our brand portfolio of multi-sport products that we currently have available.

“We look forward to working closely with Bluechipworld within the Action Camera market and maximizing the potential in all channels in the UK and Ireland.”
