4G and 3G versions of the Liquid Zest range were revealed by the company

Acer unveiled its new Liquid Zest (pictured) and updated Z630 handsets at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) on February 22.

The Liquid Zest range consists of two devices, a 4G and 3G version. Both otherwise have the same features.

Running on Android Marshmallow 6.0, Google’s latest operating system, the range comes with a 5-inch HD display and ‘Zero Air Gap’ technology. Acer claims this helps remove the air between the device’s touch and LCD modules to improve readability in bright conditions. Each handset also come with 8MP rear and 5MP front-facing cameras.

Both phones will be available in black or white. The 3G Liquid Zest will be available in April from £89.99, whilst the Liquid Zest 4G can be purchased from May starting £119.99.

An upgraded Liquid Z630 handset, called the Z630S, was also announced. The device was first revealed at IFA in Berlin last September.

The latest edition comes with a 1.3GHz octa-core processor and 5.5-inch screen. It is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop, comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. There is also a 4,000mAh battery and 8MP front and rear cameras.

The smartphone is available now in the UK with prices starting form £179.99
