The company is looking to expand further in 2022 after rebrand last year

Likewize has made a number of new appointments as the tech protection and support company bolsters its senior leadership team as the company looks to expand in 2022.

The firm, which was previously known as Brightstar before a rebranding last year, has appointed a number of experienced industry figures.

The company has appointed Ian Pillinger, Richard Hawkins, Adam Slater and Adam Armer to the team, with the quartet boasting over 90 years industry experience.

All four join the company in newly created roles, with Pillinger the EMEA head of device protection.

He rejoins Likewize after stints at Apple (AppleCare) as lead of business development and new business development director at insurtech start-up Boltech.

Slater joins as director of client of operations following six years at Assurant, with Armer rejoining the company after 10 years as a sales director, following seven years at Vodafone, where he was most recently senior IoT lead for managed service accounts.

Hawkins joins Likewize as its head of commercial and boasts over 25-years experience in senior positions across both telecoms and consumer electronics markets. He was previously head of buying and supply chain for mobile at AO.

New roles

Likewize EMEA executive vice president Gerry O’Keeffe has welcomed the new additions, adding that the new job roles have been born out of the business’ transformation from distributor to repair and services.

“2021 was a key milestone in our transformation as we continued our investment into the UK, rolling out new capabilities focused on after-sales service and repair. As the role of devices has become more important than ever, so has our reliance on them, placing greater importance on after-sales services.

“The fact that two former Brightstar employees have decided to re-join us, showcases the ever increasingly important role our businesses is playing in the tech ecosystem, resolving all the tech problems that customers, from retailers, manufacturers and carriers may encounter.”

On top of these appointments Likewize has also added Rob Boyles as UK finance director, Julie Garside as operations director, Rob Sherville-Payne as legal and compliance director and Craig Musgrave as account director, while Hannah Scott has been promoted to account director.
