Genuine Solutions Group has announced co-founder and chief executive Chris McBride has stepped down from his role, with Stuart Henry to take the helm.

McBride will remain with the firm in an unconfirmed role. He founded the Surbiton-based company in 2012 and held the role of chief executive officer since its conception.

He is also group commercial director at environmental recovery firm GSUK – a role held since 2008. GSUK is part of the Genuine Solutions Group.

Henry has been in the CEO chair since July. The industry veteran amassed more than 15 years of experience, having held director and senior vice president roles with: Orange, Brightstar, Plan.com, Amdocs and Ubitrac.

The industry veteran is backing a major investment programme that will see the firm research new technologies, expand its base and carry out a recruitment drive in the pursuit of growth.

Empowerment
Commenting on his new role Henry (left) said: “What has been achieved here in the last 12 years is testament to the free spirit and empowerment that we come to expect of digital age start-ups. I want to maintain that culture, but to overlay it with enabling capabilities, so the leaders of this business can continue to grow as the business grows.

“I am expecting Genuine Solutions to lead radical reshaping of our industry in the near future, but with an absolute focus on making sure we continue to deliver exceptional service to our customers.”

McBride added: “Stuart’s arrival comes at a crucial stage for Genuine Solutions. We have an ambitious plan taking us on a tenfold expansion journey within five years and, in Stuart, the Group is in the right hands.”
