Tickets now on sale for our second ‘Beyond Mobile’ event – this time discussing the opportunities around wearable technology, a market estimated to be worth £5 billion by 2018

The story of how Wearable devices like Google Glass are being used in the aviation industry will be just one of the mission-critical subjects revealed at an Exertis Micro-P-sponsored Mobile News Beyond Mobile conference on wearable technology to be held on October 21 in Central London at 30 Euston Square, NW1 2FB.

“Wearable Tech: Hype or Hope?”  will feature discussions and analysis led by wearable tech experts including Tim Sagar (Cityzen Science), James Powell (Huawei), Alyson Edmunds (O2), Kevin O’Sullivan (SITA Lab) and Ronnie Burnet (Acer).

Analysts Tarlok Teji (TickVantage) and Saverio Romeo (Beecham Research) will also give their opinions and overview on whether or not wearable tech can fulfil the expectation that it could well be the next generator of growth. Other speakers will be announced over the next few weeks.

The conference is a must-attend event for manufacturers, distributors, analysts, mobile retailers, and networks that are looking to formulate a sales and revenue strategy for wearables.

“We’re grateful to Exertis Micro-P for its vision and commitment to wearables in supporting the event. There is much hype over wearables at the moment, with players like Apple, Samsung, Huawei and LG all looking to stake a claim to this new space,” said Mobile News editorial director Ian White.

Opportunities

“We think it is essential to investigate if all the claims being made about opportunities for OEMs, ODMs, mobile operators, distributors and retailers to create a premium mobile experience for consumers and enterprises will be a reality or whether end-users will reject what they perceive as snooping on their activities. The conference will be examining whether or not mobile accessories vendors and network operators will provide further opportunities in brand building and promotion, as well as in expanding their product offerings.”

Exertis Micro-P sales director for mobile Simon Woodman (pictured right) added: “Wearable Tech is a true revolution in our space and we must be ready to maximise the opportunity: big step changes like this come around rarely and they can completely, dramatically alter the landscape.”

The event is limited to 80 delegates. Please contact  event organiser Kim Glover on 020 7278 0795 or visit our ticketing site by clicking here
