He is responsible for attracting new resellers to the company’s CRM system

Industry veteran Bob Sweetlove has joined Atlas Systems in the newly created role of managing director.

He is initially charged with heading up a team to increase the number of mobile resellers and telecoms resellers using the company’s customer relationship management (CRM) system. It runs from prospecting through to quoting, connecting and client management.

Driving sales growth

Sweetlove (pictured) is also tasked with managing the company’s interaction with current and potential future customers, analysing data about their history and aiming to improve business relationships with them, specifically focusing on retention and driving sales growth.

Sweetlove left multi-network airtime distributor Carphone Warehouse Business in March after 22 years as part of a restructure at the company.

He had initially joined Hugh Symons Group in November 1994 before the distribution business, Hugh Symons Communications (HSC) was acquired by Carphone Warehouse for £10 million in 2016.

Atlas was established by James Evans in December 2011. Evans was founder and managing director of B2B dealer Sunrise Associates before it was sold to unified communications and cloud service provider Six Degrees Group in November 2015.

New resellers

Sweetlove said: “In taking up this new position, I am maintaining my long career within telecoms – a segment of the market I know extremely well.

“This is an exciting challenge for me and the customer base is appealing.

“It is a product that has so far been based on existing relationships but I will be responsible for marketing it more and bringing on new resellers.”
