Senior executive joins Vodafone platinum partner to drive strategy of acquiring IT hosting companies
PMGC Technology has appointed Joe Mayhew as its new CIO.
Mayhew was CTO and co-founder of security service provider Citadel Data Security. Prior to that, he held senior IT roles at cloud service provider Calyx Group and the BAR Formula 1 motor racing team.
Vodafone platinum partner PMGC, which is looking to acquire IT hosting businesses to expand its product set, said Mayhew’s appointment will drive forward this strategy.
PMGC managing director Jason Yeomans (pictured) said: “I wanted my CIO to bring some operational improvement to our existing business, as well as perfecting it for the future. Joe has extensive experience and is perfect for this role.”
PMGC was also placed 82nd in the Tech Track 100, published in the Sunday Times on September 16. The table ranks Britain’s 100 private technology companies with the fastest-growing sales over the past three years.
In the 12 months to April 2012, PMGC achieved sales of £12.4 million and annual sales growth of 44.6 per cent.
Yeomans said: “When we were Premier Mobile, before the acquisition of Phonebox and the creation of PMGC, I grew the company sevenfold in five years. This is a fantastic achievement considering we’ve only just started on the road to what we’re trying to build.”
