The takeover of Nice Network will strengthen Onecom’s North East presence
Onecom has confirmed the acquisition of Sunderland-based UC specialists Nice Network.
The acquisition is the LDC-backed dealer’s second of 2020, following its takeover of Glamorgan Telecom Group back in August.
The deal has been completed for an undisclosed sum and will strengthen Onecom’s position in the North East of the country.
Nice Network, which was founded in 1986 as CCS before rebranding, specialise in providing telecommunications and IT services.
Nice Network’s portfolio of customers includes Vodafone, SOTI, Cisco, Nike UK, Puma and Russell Hobbs.
Onecom’s takeover of Nice Network comes as part of a £100 million investment package the company secured last year through LDC.
Commenting on the acquisition Onecom director of strategy and M&A Christian Craggs (pictured) said: “We are pleased to welcome Nice Network to the Onecom Group. Chris Lee and his team have achieved an outstanding reputation as a regional leader in the North East and we are looking forward to working with them as part of Onecom.”
Nice Network managing director and founder Chris Lee added: “This is an exciting opportunity to further scale our operations in the North East with the support of a large, national, PE-backed strategic partner.
“We have established a strong track record for technical expertise and customer service, which has enabled us to build a considerable customer base and will lead to us becoming an important part of Onecom’s operations.”
