Samsung adds Galaxy S26 range to Certified Re-Newed programm

Samsung has added its latest Galaxy S26 flagship range to its Certified Re-Newed programme, extending its push to keep premium smartphones in circulation for longer.

Refurbished versions of the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra are available in the UK through Samsung’s own online store.

The programme gives Samsung greater control over the refurbishment and resale of its devices while offering customers a lower-cost route into its latest flagship range.

Samsung says the phones are restored to its own standards for appearance and performance. Certified Re-Newed handsets are inspected and refurbished in-house by Samsung and use genuine Samsung parts where replacements are required. Devices undergo cleaning, testing and quality checks. Previous user data is wiped and the latest software installed before resale.

The devices come with the same two-year warranty offered with new Samsung smartphones.

Flagships enter the secondary market

The move brings Samsung’s current S26 generation into its official secondary-market channel relatively early in the product lifecycle.

All three models retain their original specifications and features, including Samsung’s Galaxy AI functions and camera systems.

The S26 Ultra also includes Samsung’s built-in Privacy Display technology, designed to reduce the visibility of information on the screen when viewed from an angle.

Samsung is promising seven generations of operating system upgrades and security updates for the S26 series, potentially extending the useful life of devices through several owners.

The Certified Re-Newed S26 range is available in Black and Cobalt Violet. The S26 Ultra is offered with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB storage, while the S26 and S26+ are available in 256GB and 512GB versions.

Samsung has not included pricing information in its announcement.

Samsung’s approach to extending smartphone lifecycles will be among issues discussed at Mobile News Circular Summit on November 17 at Hilton London Bankside. John Coleman of Samsung will join the OEM circularity panel to discuss the role manufacturers can play in repair, refurbishment, and device longevity.
