EE to have 400,000 4G customers by end of April

EE said it expects 4G customer numbers to rise from 318,000 to 400,000 by the end of this month

EE has said it will increase its 4G customer numbers to 400,000 by the end of this month.

The operator announced today it had signed 318,000 users up to its super-fast mobile broadband service.

EE chief financial officer Neal Milsom said the company was monitoring numbers and should increase this to 400,000 by the end of April. Previously, EE has said it aims to hit the one million 4G customer mark by the end of 2013.

Milsom said the first three months of this year were “clearly the quarter of 4G.”

He said current 4G user figures represented a “credible, successful performance”.
