Orange and T-Mobile to subsidise iPad

Orange and T-Mobile parent Everything Everywhere will offer the Apple iPad at discounted price, paving the way for a price war ahead of Christmas

Orange and T-Mobile will offer the 3G 16GB version of the Apple iPad at reduced proces on 18 month and 24 month contracts ahead of Christmas. Reports claim the device will be available for as little as £200, although pricing is unconfirmed.

The device is available from £529 from Apple stores; the 32GB version is available for £599 and the 64GB version for £699.

Neither O2 nor Vodafone, nor Everything Everywhere, sell the device from stores currently, although airtime from all providers is available via Apple stores if customers choose.

It is unclear whether O2 and Vodafone will follow suit.
