White variant of Samsung Galaxy S II goes on sale

Manufacturer’s flagship handset now available in a second colour, following significant sales of the original model following its May release

A white variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II has gone on sale today in retailers across the UK.

The Galaxy S II runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and features a Super AMOLED screen and dual-core 1.2GHz processor.

Research earlier this month by analyst Gartner said that the original Galaxy S II had amassed sales of five million units globally following its release in May.
