Vodafone service provider Vocal has joined with its sister companies to rebrand under a single trading name.
The new brand, Abzorb, sees the Bradford-based business combine Vocal with B2B dealer Protocall, fixed-line reseller Vitel Systems and IT infrastructure provider Vitel Networks.
Protocall is a direct Vodafone, O2 and Orange B2B dealer. Vitel Systems is a BT licencee, selling fixed-line, broadband and VoIP solutions.
Abzorb managing director Mike Walsh (pictured) said the combined business will quadruple its turnover in the next five years.
It is tracking to post £9 million turnover this year following the merger, compared with £6 million last year. Walsh expects the figure to jump to £20-£30 million by 2013.
"The business is on a very solid financial platform and we don’t have any borrowings. We will grow the business in a controlled way," said Walsh.
"We can create deals specifically to suit a business which is a massive advantage for us, as a customer’s requirements now tend to be a little more complicated.
"We are in a really strong position for the future; not just on a regional base, but also a national one."
He added: "The window in which to converge is running out. Fixed-line companies are talking about mobile, and mobile companies are talking about fixed-line; we are in a good position to accommodate these changes.
"There is nobody with a wider portfolio than ours in the market place. This gives us a cutting edge."
Abzorb claims to have more than 1,500 customers on its books, including P&O Ferries and HBOS.
