Virgin launches ultra budget tariff

Virgin Mobile has launched the cheapest contract tariff on the market today rivaling 3’s £9 offer.

Customers can get 100 minutes and 100 text messages for £8.50 per month. The Samsung G600, LG KC550 and Nokia 3120 will be available free on the tariff.

Virgin Mobile managing director Graeme Oxby said: “In these financially challenging times where customers are tightening their purse-strings, our market leading £8.50 monthly package will allow people to stay in touch without the added worry of a hefty phone bill.

“Customers will also able to choose from a selection of some of the best handsets available.”
