Samsung’s 8mp Pixon due next month

Samsung’s new 8 megapixel Pixon cameraphone, launching in the UK in November, is 13.8mm thick,  thinner than the Renoir (13.95mm). It features a 3.2-inch screen, where the LG’s is a 3-inch.

It is the second 8-megapixel Samsung cameraphone, following the i8510 in August, and it claimed the new device was “set to lead the way in camera and phone convergence”.

The Pixon has 16x digital zoom, autofocus, fast-shutter, face detection and geotagging, plus an integrated photo browser to allow easy photo sharing and viewing.
