Phonebox acquires B2B rival

Midlands-based Phonebox Communications has acquired fellow B2B dealer Wire Communications in a cash and equity-share deal, and will turn its attention to London and Bristol for further expansion.

Wire, based in Warrington, has an annual turnover of £1.2 million. It will be incorporated under the Phonebox brand and help the dealership expand in the North West. Phonebox has also started a franchise programme in Scotland.

Phonebox managing director Nigel Harrison (pictured) aims to make Phonebox a national brand over the next five years. He said: “Our next key targets are London and Bristol.”
