MVNO Globalcell stops trading

Orange MVNO Globalcell is understood to have ceased trading

Orange MVNO Globalcell has ceased trading, Mobile News understands.

Distributors last week issued customers notice Globalcell, which targets Eastern Europeans in the UK, is no longer trading.

Globalcell is owned by Lebara shareholders Leon Rasiah, Baskaran Kandiah and Ratheesan Yoganathan (pictured), who took ownership via Luxembourg-based BRL Investments in late 2009.

The MVNO operated on Orange’s network.

The three shareholders could not be contacted at press. Orange and Lebara refused to comment.
