Nokia nears distribution decision

Distributors are awaiting Nokia’s announcement on who will be taking its handset and accessories distribution contracts.

Brightpoint, Brightstar, Fone Logistics, i2Mobile, Elite, 20:20 Mobile, Dextra, Clockwork, Kondor, Data Select, Shebang and Westcom were all invited to tender.

Nokia is said to have reached a short list and is expected to make an announcement soon. Mobile News understands it will appoint one distributor to each of four categories: B2B distributor, accessories, general distribution and solus accessories, which is to exclusively distribute Nokia accessories.
