Ingram Micro seeks new UK MD

Ingram Micro UK’s new head has turned down the position, before officially starting in the Milton Keynes office.

Pablo Suarez (pictured), head of Ingram Micro’s Miami export group, was due to run the UK business after Julien Klein’s departure earlier this year. He declined after receiving confirmation of another position in Miami.

Johan Vandenbussche has been appointed temporary UK managing director, until a replacement has been confirmed.

Vandenbussche has previously worked as vice president of Northern Europe.

Ingram Micro EMEA VP of Human Resources Robyn Tingley: “Unfortunately, because of unexpected delays in securing a work visa for Pablo Suarez, who we were transferring from Miami to the UK, and an attractive offer of a role in Miami, Pablo has decided to stay with his family in the United States, and take a role outside of Ingram Micro.

“While we are disappointed to see Pablo leave, we wish him well in his future pursuits. Having joined our organisation 15 years ago, Pablo has made a significant contribution to Ingram Micro and we want to thank Pablo for his contribution.” 

Ingram Micro will continue to search for a permanent replacement.
