Free broadband and calls at Carphone

Carphone Warehouse is offering 12 months of free landline calls and fixed broadband for new customers for a limted period.

Until February 28, customers signing for an 18-month Talk-Talk contract will receive up to 8 Meg free broadband with a 40GB download limited, free wireless router, and unlimited evening and weekend calls, including international, from their landline, until 2010.

Customers will only pay for the line rental at £10.50 per month, and becharged an an extra £6.49 from month 13. Customers will also be charged a one-off connection fee of £29.99.

Carphone has also launched a new in store service called MyMobileTariffChecker, to calculate customer usage, and ensure they are on the right mobile tariff.

Carphone claims the UK has wasted more than £29.7 billion on customers being placed on incorrect tariffs. Carphone claims to have saved 12,743 customers almost £89,000 combined since October 2008.
