Brightpoint ranked fifth most admired electronic wholesaler

Distributor ranked in Fortune magazine’s most admired companies list for electronics wholesale thanks to its business and supply models

Handset distributor Brightpoint has been ranked number five in the electronics wholesalers category in Fortune magazine’s ‘Worlds Most Admired Companies’ list which will be published later this month.

It is the fourth time in five years the distributor has been placed in the category by Fortune complies the list from industry votes.

Brightpoint last year said it handled 99 million wireless devices globally and generated total revenue of $3.6 billion thanks to it’s total B2B customer base of 25,000 in more than 25 countries.

Brightpoint chairman and chief executive Robert Laikin (pictured) said: “Being acknowledged in this way validates our business model of focusing on our customers and suppliers, which ultimately produces solid financial results and increased long-term shareholder value.”
