Realme appoints new European CEO to build brand in region

Sheth has helped to build the Realme brand in India

Realme has announced the appointment of Madhav Sheth as its new European CEO.

Sheth will be responsible for leading market operations management, business and product strategy development and also growing the brand’s image.

Sheth joined Realme in May 2018, helping to found the company, following a year working for Oppo as a sales director.

As well as occupying the CEO position, Sheth is also vice-president of Realme and CEO of Realme India.

Commenting on his new role, he said: “Europe will be our next key growth driver after Asian Pacific markets. We are working closely with our partners to expand our footprints both online and offline.”

Realme launched across a number of European markets last year and shipped 25 million smartphones worldwide, according to Counterpoint Research.
