“If networks needed an excuse not to work with dealers, then this is it”

Dealers are being warned to step up sales processes to avoid being cut off by networks once Ofcom’s General Condition 23 becomes legally binding.
Advantage sales director Frank Masson said: “We’ll see risk aversion behaviour from the networks. They’ve been abused, and will work with fewer dealers as a result. Dealers need to exceed their expectations, to share good practices and work closely with them.”
Hugh Symons Communications business manager Bob Sweetlove said: “Networks will have to manage their channels more tightly.”
Moco managing director Ian Robinson said: “If networks were ever presented with an ideal excuse not to use dealers, then this is it.”
