Three reveals “market leading” iPad pricing

Three to stock Apple tablet on 24 month contracts from £199, matching Everything Everywhere, but will offer 15GB per month compared to Orange and T-Mobile’s 1GB

Three has revealed its pricing for the Apple iPad, offering the 16GB device for £199, the 32GB device for £249 and the 64GB for £349. Devices will go on sale immediately.

All of the tablets come on 24 month contracts costing £25 per month in return for a “market leading” 15GB of data per month, according to a company statement.

Orange and T-Mobile currently offer customers 1GB of ‘anytime’ and 1GB of ‘quiet time’ data per month for the same price. ‘Quiet time’ pricing is defined as midnight to 4pm.

Everything Everywhere, the UK joint venture company running the Orange and T-Mobile networks in the UK was unable to comment whether it would revise its pricing to match that of Three.

Customers can also buy the gadget outright from Three with the 16GB iPad costing £529, the 32GB costing £599 and the 64GB costing £699.

Vodafone is also expected to subsidise the iPad but has so far refused to comment.
