Brightpoint appoints new vice presidents

US handset distributor raids logistics company Moduslink to expand its supplier and customer portfolio further beyond straight mobile market

Handset distributor Brightpoint has appointed two new vice presidents for business development in its subsidiary Brightpoint North America as expands its supplier and customer roster outside the confines of the mobile industry.

Dana Hicks and Tom Cherryhomes both join from global solutions provider Moduslink, where they served as senior vice president of sales and executive director of business development respectively.

Brightpoint Americas president J. Mark Howell said: “With the differentiators between wireless and other high tech verticals disappearing, expanding beyond the wireless industry is a natural progression.

“By utilising Tom and Dana’s business development expertise, Brightpoint will be able to offer tremendous value to this new channel.”
