Ian Watson, boss of B2B dealer Voice Mobile, says mobile dealers will gain a greater share of the unified comms market in 2011
“Mergers and acquisitions will continue as companies look to pool resources and increase share.
“Dealers will take a greater share of the fixed line market through unified comms.
“Cloud services will enable dealers of all sizes to increase their portfolios and enter new markets and compete aggressively.
“In 2010, 80-something per cent of consumers purchased smartphones but they comprised only 50-something per cent of business connections.
“This will increase with the introduction of lower priced Android handsets and dealers will need to keep an eye on the effect this has on margins.
“There is a lot at stake for the networks this year. It will be interesting to see who wins the battle for market share and how much capital they are willing to invest to achieve their targets.”
