HTC post disappointing Q3 results

The company’s profits after tax for the third quarter of the year have fallen from £400 million in 2011 to £83 million

HTC’s after-tax profits for the third quarter of 2012 came to £83 million (NT$3.9 billion), down from £400 million (NT$18.7 billion) this time last year.

The Taiwanese company posted total revenues for Q3 of £1.5 billion (NT$70.2 billion). In the same three months in 2011, the company made £2.9 billion (NT$135.8bn).

HTC’s unaudited operating income for Q3 2012 was £100 million (NT$4.9 billion) and its income before tax was £80 million (NT$4.0 billion).

A graph on the company’s website also shows it’s share price has been steadily falling since the start of the month.
