Carphone launches pre-orders for Nokia Lumia 820

Retailer offers free wireless charging plate to customers ordering the device before launch

Carphone Warehouse is offering a free wireless charging plate with pre-orders of the Nokia Lumia 820, starting today.

The new Lumia, which runs on Windows Phone 8, is free on contracts from £29 per month and is available on pre-pay for £379.95.

It features a 4.3 inch screen, 8MP camera, Snapdragon S4 processor and comes with a free wireless charging plate that allows users ‘charge anywhere’ by positioning the pad on a surface and placing their Lumia on top.

The phone is expected to be released in early November, though Nokia is yet to announce a firm release date for the device.
