John Doughty quits Micro-P as head of business development

Micro-P head of business development quits IT and mobile distributor after four years 

Micro-P business development manger John Doughty is leaving the company to join another mobile-focused distributor.

Stuart Bruce, who joined Micro-P as head of sales for its accessory division Attach last month, will replace Doughty as general manager for the division, effective immediately.

Doughty will remain at Micro-P until the end of June to ensure a smooth transition.

He joined the company in 2009 as general manager for mobile before taking on the role of head of business development in 2012.

Prior to joining Micro-P, Doughty worked as commercial director for distributor Brightstar between 2007 and 2008, and as sales director for Tech Data UK between 2005 and 2008.

Micro-P Mobile sales director Simon Woodman said: “John has been a valuable member of my team over the last two years in helping to develop our handset business and most recently pulling together our accessories proposition and the directors of Micro-P wish him well in his new role.

“Over the next six weeks John and Stuart will work closely together to ensure a smooth transition and I wish them both success in their new roles.”
