Micro-P appoints new head of UC devices

Dan Burgess will be responsible for building relationships with manufacturers such as Plantronics and driving UC sales

Distributor Micro-P has appointed a product manager for its unified communications (UC) division.

Dan Burgess joins Micro-P from UC supplier Rocom, where he spent almost two years managing relationships with manufacturers such as Polycom, Jabra and Plantronics.

He also spent a year and a half at POSTcti, a Microsoft Gold Partner specialising in Microsoft Lync and Office software.

His appointment to Micro-P is effective immediately, where as UC devices product manager (a newly-created role) he will be responsible for driving sales and building relationships with vendors and resellers.

Micro-P UC devices business manager James Burns said: “Dan’s appointment further demonstrates Micro-Ps commitment to creating, delivering and supporting UC solutions to the channel.

“His appointment – combined with our growing commercial team of product specialists and BDMs – means Micro-P is in a position to educate and equip its partners with the marketing and sales tools needed for them to take the UC proposition to market.”
