Acer prepare to launch affordable Z3 smartphone
Budget handset available ‘mid-August’ for £79.99
Acer are set to release its new Liquid Z3 smartphone this month – their fifth smartphone release this year.
The Taiwanese manufacturer said today (August 1) that the Z3 will be available across Europe from ‘mid-August’ for £79.99, adding that the handset will be available from Asda stores in the UK.
Features on the handset, which follows the Liquid E1, E2, S1 and Z2, include four pre-defined user profiles, a dual-core 1 GHz processor, 3.5-inch display, 4GB internal storage and a 3-megapixel camera.
The handset will be available in two colours: Rock Black and Classic White. A range of flip covers will also be available.
Acer Europe vice president of smartphone division Allen Burnes said: “While much of the industry is trending toward larger and more complex devices, we believe there’s also a whole lot of room for thinking small and simple.
“Liquid Z3 bridges the gap for a new generation of smartphone users, providing they really can have it all without sacrificing the size and simplicity they want.”
