New model costs £429 SIM-free from Apple’s website, with internal memory halved to 8GB; O2 makes it available for £28 a month with an upfront charge of £49.99
Apple has launched a cheaper version of the iPhone 5c (pictured), costing £40 less and with half the internal memory of the original model.
The latest release is available for £429 SIM-free from Apple’s website and has 8GB of internal memory – half of the storage found in the original iPhone 5c.
O2 has become the first UK operator to stock the new model on contract, ranging it in blue.
It costs £49.99 upfront on a £28 a month deal with 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data. It is also free on a £43 a month tariff with unlimited minutes, texts and 8GB of data.
The iPhone 5c was launched alongside Apple’s flagship iPhone 5s smartphone on September 20, 2013. It came in two models – £469 for the 16GB model and £529 for the 32GB variant.
