Phablet is follow-up to 2014’s MediaPad X1 and was on display in Barcelona
Huawei has been heavily promoting its new range of wearables at Mobile World Congress but the Chinese manufacturer also displayed the follow-up to its MediaPad X1 in Barcelona.
The MediaPad X2 is a seven inch phone that comes in two versions – a 16GB version that comes with 2GB of RAM and a 32GB version that has 3GB of RAM.
Both run on an octa-core processor, which has been bumped up from the X1’s quad-core chip and have 4G connectivity.
It has a 13MP camera on the back and a 5-megapixel sensor on the front of its seven inch screen. The phablet weighs in 239g, the same as the MediaPad X1, and is powered by a 5000mAh battery.
Pricing and availability hav enot yet been announced, but last year’s 16GB X1 came in at €399 ($445), and we’d expect the entry-level X2 to be priced similarl
