BT to add 2,800 jobs to its Digital arm by 2024

BT has revealed plans to bolster its in-house digital team by 2,800 people, with new jobs to be created in the UK and India.

The telco’s Digital arm has set out plans to grow its internal colleague base by up to 6,300 people by 2024.

1,000 of the new jobs will be based here in the UK, across multiple BT hubs including Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Belfast, Ipswich and London.

On top of this, BT plans to add 1,800 jobs in India, based around Bengaluru and Gurugram.

These jobs span a variety of positions, including product management, software engineering, cloud, design, data, AI, machine learning and agile delivery.

“Digital was founded to accelerate BT’s transformation, innovation and return to growth. To succeed, we need to bring in and upskill the top digital talent, and our efforts will boost the tech communities in the UK and India along the way,” said BT chief digital and innovation officer Harmeen Mehta.
