US network Sprint has reported a loss of $478 million (£288.59 million) in its Q3 results, compared with a loss of $326 million a year earlier.
The company had 48.3 million customers at the end of Q3, compared to 48.8 million at the end of Q2. This includes 33.6 million contract customers, 5.7 million prepay and 8.9 million customers from wholesale affiliates.
Sprint chief executive Dan Hesse said the company would continue to manage costs rigorously and that he expected to see improvements in subscriber losses in Q4.
